How to prepare for the delivery or pick up of your BigSteelBox

Before booking the delivery of your BigSteelBox please ensure that there is 70′ of space in a straight line, 15′ of height, and 10′ of width on your property that is completely clear for the truck.

This means there cannot be any buildup of ice or snow, branches, cars, other vehicles or anything else blocking the delivery or pick-up area that our truck will have to access.

Please also note that a driveway must be at least 26′ long to accommodate a 20′ container (an additional 4′ is added to the length of the Box when the doors are open), and the slope of a driveway must be 2′ or less over a 20′ distance in order for our tilt deck trucks to safely place a container.

Follow these steps to confirm your delivery address(es) meets our space requirements:

1. Open Google Maps and enter your delivery address.

2. In the bottom left corner, click the “Layers” option, and select “Satellite”:

3. Zoom in on your address so it’s in focus, right click where the BigSteelBox will be closest to your home or garage, and select “Measure Distance” to drop a white pinpoint:

4. Now click on the point that is as far as a truck could safely drive and click to add a second white pinpoint. This will measure the straight-line distance available for our truck:

5. If you meet the minimum delivery requirements of 70′ of straight-line space for a 20′ container, or 60′ for a 10′ container, then you may proceed with your order.

*IMPORTANT NOTE*
These requirements will be included in your rental agreement. If we attempt to deliver or pick up your BigSteelBox during the scheduled timeframe and our truck is not able to complete the delivery or pick up for any of the reasons noted above, a “failed delivery charge” will be applied to your account. In these cases, our truck will return to our yard and the customer will have to re-schedule their container movement for another date and an additional cost.
